Chemistry and control of animal feed (281953)
Course coordinator
Course description
The goal of this module is to understand the chemistry of the basic components of animal feed and the methods for their determination (theoretical and practical), as well as to become familiar with quality control systems in animal feed production and the role of quality control in environmental preservation.
The module consists of the following parts:
Basics of Analytical Chemistry – Selected chapters on qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis.
Chemistry of Animal Feed – Chemistry and analytical methods for basic components of animal feed, with seminars enabling independent data processing of chemical analyses and presentation of results.
Methods of Animal Feed Analysis – Knowledge acquired in the previous sections is applied in independent practical work in the laboratory.
Quality Control of Animal Feed – Quality systems in animal feed production, statistical monitoring of quality, and the role of quality control in environmental protection
