Biografija

Dr. Mark Hoffmann, originally from Germany, is the state-wide strawberry and viticulture expert at NC State University. He holds a PhD in Biology from University of Mainz, and was post-doctoral researcher at University of Florida and UC Davis before joining NC State University in 2017. His research focuses on improving transplant quality using controlled environment technology. He has published several grower production guides, and over 30 peer-reviewed scientific presentations, has received several awards over his career. He traveled several times to China to explore the strawberry industry at the Chinese East Coast, will explore with you the differences and similarities between the two largest strawberry producing countries in the world: USA and China.
