Laboratory of the Department of Pomology

The Laboratory for physico-chemical analysis of fruits has been working within the Department of Pomology at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Zagreb since the establishment of the Department. The laboratory conducts research on pomological and physico-chemical properties of fruits, determination of harvesting times and storability of fruits, as well as morphological characterization of fruit species. The laboratory conducts research within the framework of scientific and professional projects and education, as well as instructional and extracurricular activities of students through the implementation of student exercises, practices and other forms of teaching. The laboratory also conducts analyzes related to graduate and doctoral theses, professional projects, and numerous other scientific and educational activities of students and staff. The laboratory is equipped with appropriate equipment to perform these analyzes of various fruit species using appropriate techniques.
