Project: "DG FARMER - Digital education within the Farm to Fork strategy"
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture coordinates the project "DG FARMER - Digital Education on the Farm to Fork strategy", funded by the Erasmus+ program (KA220- VET - Cooperation Partnerships in Vocational Education and Training, European Commission).
The first project meeting of partners took place on April 28-29 in Zagreb, where the project team of the Faculty of Agriculture hosted partners from four member countries of the project team: Greece, Spain, Cyprus and Belgium. The project partners were introduced to the Faculty and welcomed by the Vice-Dean for Teaching and Study Programs, Full Prof. Sandra Voća. Among other activities related to the project results, the project partners had the opportunity to get acquainted with some of the scientific and teaching activities of our Faculty, within which they visited the Maksimir and Jazbina Experimental Stations.

Project summary:
The DG FARMER aims to tackle the limited resources available regarding digital training materials on sustainable agrifood practices and to support the promotion of the EU Farm to Fork policy implementation especially among VET professionals and trainers in the agri-food sector by up- and reskilling their competences.
The project will highlight the benefits of the transition towards sustainable food systems and production practices in the EU, as well as the importance of the Farm to Fork strategy for sustainable agricultural DEVELOPMENT.
