The history of Department of dairy science

Department of dairy science (since its establishment in 1922.) has been occupied with teaching, scientific and research activities. Today, it counts 18 employees. Teaching activity from general and specialized dairy modules is carrying out at undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies. Last 10 years Department has been organizing educational seminars and courses for milk and dairy products producers. Scientific-research studies, through more then 20 projects, are very helpful in understanding of complex physico-chemical, biochemical and structural milk and dairy products composition. It is very important to highlight the role of Department in interlaboratory studies of developing new analytical methods, as well as systematically improvement of laboratory analysis performance.

Reference Laboratory for Milk and Dairy Products

  • In 2002 the Reference Laboratory for Milk and Dairy Products was established as a part of Department of Dairy Science.

Educational seminars and professional lectures

  • For milk and dairy products producers, laboratories and agriculture advisory service.

Sensory assessments of milk and dairy products

  • For national and international organizations.

Technological projects

  • Interested customers can order technological projects for small scale dairy plant.
