Association of former students and friends of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture

(Almae matris Alumni Croaticae - Facultas Agriculturae Zagrabiensis)

AMCA or AMAC comes from the Latin word Almae Matris Croaticae Alumni and refers to the association of Croatian graduate students. The AMAC - Alumni FAZ association was founded in 2016 with the vision to be a recognised and respectable alumni association in the country and abroad, with a strong partnership and collaborative relations between former and current students of the Faculty of Agriculture and the University of Zagreb and their friends. When the association was founded, certain goals were set in order to promote and improve the professional and scientific activities of its members, to promote the agronomic profession, to encourage expert opinions on important issues of agricultural development and their application, to establish and develop cooperation with similar AMAC/AMCA in Croatia, but also in the world.

Through its activities, the association also provides the opportunity to collect the opinions of the association members through public discussion. In this way, it is possible to promote and improve the direction and goals of the association but also to exchange the professional and scientific interests of the association's members. The association currently has about 100 members, with a tendency to increase as soon as it is given its own space to carry out additional activities (socialising, sports competitions).
