The Centre for Lifelong Learning of the Faculty of Agriculture

The Faculty of Agriculture has a long tradition of educating adults, mostly agricultural producers and experts, who have completed their academic education. Although the Faculty's professors have participated in various types of education, from lectures and workshops to programmes where the acquired competences are registered in the "workbook", there was no formal framework for their implementation, nor were they accredited by the Faculty.

In line with international trends in education and the strategic documents of the Republic of Croatia, which increasingly recognise the importance of lifelong learning, the Lifelong Learning Regulation at the Faculty of Agriculture was adopted in 2016. This document regulates organisational issues and defines the criteria, standards and procedures for the evaluation of programme proposals and the implementation of lifelong learning. The Centre for Lifelong Learning of the Faculty of Agriculture was established by decision of the Faculty Council at its 7th ordinary meeting on 5 April 2022.

According to the regulations, lifelong education includes various educational programmes that are not considered full university studies and are based on the principles of lifelong learning.

So far, the following lifelong learning programmes (in Croatian) have been accredited at the Faculty:
