Teaching
The University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture has established itself in 103 years of rich academic tradition as a leading scientific and university institution in Croatia in the field of biotechnical sciences. The Faculty study programmes cover all areas of agricultural production and related activities, including agricultural economics, agrotourism and landscape architecture. The study programmes, according to which teaching is currently carried out, were implemeted in the academic year 2005/2006. They are based on the Bologna Declaration, by which the Republic of Croatia decided to join the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
The aim of study programmes is to offer the students the high quality education and acquisition of the latest scientific and professional knowledge and skills in the field of agricultural and related sciences, by applying the highest academic standards. The study programmes under the Bologna Process were designed with a much more flexible structure, allowing students to create their own educational profile according to personal preferences, i.e. the desired profession or the planned continuation of education.
