Faculty of Agriculture hosted professors and students from the University of Kentucky at the Experiment Station „Jazbina”

As part of their study abroad trip, professors and students from the Lewis Honours University of the University of Kentucky visited the Experiment Station "Jazbina" on 1 June 2023, where they had the opportunity to meet with students and professors from the Faculty of Agriculture Zagreb. A total of 16 undergraduate students from different study programmes at Lewis Honours University and several graduate students from different study areas of the Faculty of Agriculture participated in this international meeting. This was a unique opportunity for our students to share knowledge and experiences with their colleagues from the United States.

The study abroad trip was led by Professor Ryan Voogt, Director of Undergraduate Studies at Lewis Honours University. Staff from the Faculty of Agriculture's International Relations Office were also present as co-organisers of this international meeting.

In addition to an organised tasting of traditional Croatian food and a tasting of various quality wines from Jazbina, the students were introduced to the work of the Experimental Station and its wine products through an exceptionally interesting presentation by Professor Darko Preiner, Head of the Department of Viticulture and Enology.
