Orientation meeting (Welcome day) for international students in the winter semester of 2023/24 was held

On the first day of the winter semester, October 2, 2023, the International Relations Office (IRO) held an orientation meeting (Welcome day) for foreign students enroled in the winter semester of the 2023/24 academic year. The meeting took place in the Big Chamber Room.

A total of 18 new students attended the meeting, including 7 who were enroled in English-language graduate programmes (Inter-EnAgro and Danube AgriFood Master – DAFM), 9 who came as part of the Erasmus+ SMS exchange programme, and two who were enroled through the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards programme. The enroled students come from a total of 10 countries, mainly from Spain, France, Germany, and Poland.

The introductory remarks to the students were given by the Vice Dean for International and Interinstitutional Cooperation, Assoc. Prof. Kristina Kljak, PhD. Following that, brief presentations were delivered by the ECTS coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Marko Petek, PhD, and the student mobility coordinator from the IRO, Kristijan Bilić, Grad. Eng.

The purpose of the meeting was to provide students with essential guidance and information necessary for their stay at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture. Students were briefly introduced to the way of life and studying in Zagreb, the conditions and benefits of studying at the Faculty of Agriculture, as well as the regulations for staying in Croatia.
