Research Center for Mediterranean Landscapes

Today's Center for Mediterranean Landscapes developed from the former Center for Historical Gardens and Landscape Development. Thanks to the active management in the past decades, the Center has a large number of research areas related to historical gardens. Given that there are currently no employees in Dubrovnik itself, the Center is managed from the parent Department of Ornamental Plants, Landscape Architecture and Garden Art in Zagreb.

By expanding its area of activity to all Mediterranean landscapes, and not only those related to the Dubrovnik region, it represents the base point for research activities in the Mediterranean belt, but also for the application of this knowledge in the economy.
