Online Workshop of the Horizon Europe GRASS CEILING Project: Public Policy Initiatives Supporting Women in Rural Areas
As part of GRASS CEILING (Obzor Europa), AEIDL – European Association for Innovation in Local Development is leading an online Forum dedicated to women-led innovations in agriculture and rural areas. This Forum plays a key role in driving change and increasing socio-ecological innovations led by women in farming, the rural economy, and rural communities.
With the support of DG AGRI and the participation of representatives from Managing Authorities across various EU Member States, an online Good Practice Workshop will be held, focusing on public policy initiatives that support women in rural areas.

This workshop aims to analyze best practices of public support through Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Strategic Plans, with a particular focus on programs supporting women in agriculture, cohesion policy, and the green and digital transitions.
The event will be structured around the Vision for Agriculture and Food and the Roadmap for Women’s Rights. Following the presentations of national case studies, a panel discussion will take place with representatives from European institutions, including DG AGRI, the Committee of the Regions (CoR), the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), the European Parliament (EP), as well as other organizations and projects dedicated to empowering women.
