About International Relations Office (IRO)

The omnipresent trend of globalization in higher education and science, and closer relations between Croatia and EU increased possibilities for international cooperation and the related obligations. For that reason, on February 12, 2001, the Faculty Council (FC) brought a decision to establish an International Relations Office (IRO) in addition to the International Cooperation Board (ICB).

International Cooperation Board is standing Board of the FC. Members of the Board are chosen by Faculty Council every three years as it is established by the Statue. The Board meets couple of times per year and discus about "hot" questions linked to international cooperation.

The IRO activities include:

  • Providing information to foreign students on studying conditions and participation in FAZ research projects, assisting them on their arrival and during their stay at the FAZ;
  • Regular informing of the FAZ staff members on available international collaboration programmes;
  • Assisting both the FAZ staff members and students on establishing international contracts, locating institutions and projects beneficial to their advancement, acquiring and completing necessary forms, in regulating their status in case of bilateral contracts, in supplying information relevant for trips to individual countries and similar activities;
  • Collaboration on preparation of an information package within the ECTS introduction project.
