Analytical laboratory of the Department of Soil Science

The Analytical laboratory of the Department of Soil Science conducts analyses of physical and basic chemical soil/sediment properties. It is authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture to test soil fertility for agricultural land (in accordance with NN 47/19). The Laboratory periodically performs procedures of internal quality control and, once a year, external quality control through the International Soil-analytical Exchange Programme ISE (WEPAL proficiency test). The Laboratory work includes education, research, and expert activities in the fields of agriculture and wider environmental sciences. The main room of the Laboratory is located on the 2nd floor in the Pavilion no. VI (central building of the Faculty). Rooms for detailed physical soil analyses (soil water permeability and water retention, soil plasticity, etc.) are situated in the basement of the same pavilion.
