Laboratory for genetic identification of domestic animals

The Laboratory for Genetic Identification of Domestic Animals of the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Agriculture, performs analyzes for the needs of scientific research projects and teaching in the form of laboratory exercises. This includes isolation of genomic DNA from different types of samples (blood, tissue, hair, etc.), amplification of the target DNA segment and polymorphisms identification of specific loci of different animal species (RFLP method).
Genetic analyzes are performed in the laboratory for the needs of final and diploma theses and dissertations. At the same time, the laboratory also performs analyzes within the framework of scientific and professional projects.
