Laboratory of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Storage and Transport

The Laboratory for Quality Analysis of Agricultural Products of Plant Origin at the Department for Agricultural Technology, Storage and Transport, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Zagreb conducts research in the field of quality of agricultural products of plant origin for scientific research projects, teaching and professional work.

The scope of work includes:

chemical and physical analyzes of the quality of mechanical and nutritional composition of agricultural products of plant origin.

The laboratory has modern equipment and uses modern instrumental techniques: UV/Vis spectrophotometry, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and others.

The laboratory is building its own quality control system for analytical data to improve the quality of analytical processes and work efficiency, using moderate equipment, the use of standard procedures, validated methods, daily control of work using calibration and working standards and continuous staff training.
